A well-rounded bundle, the Pentax K-1 Mark II DSLR Camera with AF540FGZ II Flash Kit from B&H pairs the full-frame body with the on-camera AF540FGZ II flash.
Distinguished by enhanced processing and improved imaging capabilities, the K-1 Mark II from Pentax is the follow-up to their first full-frame flagship DSLR. Revolving around a 36.4MP CMOS sensor and PRIME IV image processor, the camera is capable of producing high-resolution stills at up to 4.4 fps along with recording Full HD video. The 14-bit image processor has been updated with a Ricoh-developed Accelerator Unit, which helps to reduce noise and increase clarity and color accuracy, as well as boost the sensitivity range up to ISO 819200 for working in low-light conditions. Also contributing to improved image quality is the 5-axis Shake Reduction system, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting. This image stabilization system also enables Pixel Shift Resolution II, which leverages the movement of the sensor to record four sequential frames and merge them together in order to acquire greater color detail and resolution. Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution also benefits from this technology, however lets you achieve similar results even when working handheld.
In addition to its distinct imaging assets, the K-1 Mark II is also characterized by its unique physical design. A stainless steel and magnesium-alloy body is especially robust and extensive weather-sealing makes this camera suitable for use in harsh climates and cold weather. The large pentaprism optical viewfinder affords 100% frame coverage and a high 0.7x magnification, and the rear 3.2" 1.04m-dot LCD sports a unique Cross-Tilt design for easy positioning to work at a variety of angles. Additionally, built-in Wi-Fi is available for wireless remote control and image transfer and built-in GPS permits geotagging your imagery for tracking your shots on an interactive map.
Complete your durable, rugged All Weather camera setup with the P-TTL capable AF540FGZ II Flash from Pentax which features 28 seals, including the hot shoe, that enable a reliable weather-resistant digital imaging system. This unit has a guide number of 177' at ISO 100 and 85mm along with a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 24-85mm, though the auto zoom function is compatible with smaller format Q-series mirrorless cameras, APS-C DSLRs, and medium format 645-series digital cameras. Also, with the use of a built-in diffusion panel the coverage can be extended to 20mm. Another benefit of this flash is tilt from -10 to 90° and rotation 135° to the left and 180° to the right for complete bounce functionality.
The AF540FGZ II has wireless master and slave TTL capabilities with access to 4 channels. It utilizes an optical pulse to transmit information and trigger flash units up to 13.1' away. Also, this unit can be set as a master, control, or slave unit and has access to a contrast control sync setting that enables the adjustment of the output of multiple flashes from a single unit.
An added feature for this flash is a constant LED light with 5 output settings for use during video, as an AF assist light, or as simply another light for your subject. Other settings include a multi-flash mode for stroboscopic photography as well as slow, high-speed, first and second curtain sync. Additionally, the AF540FGZ II runs on 4 AA batteries with a recycle time of 2.6-26.2 seconds and it comes with a case and stand.
